Heritage Prairie Farm is a working organic vegetable farm located in the Chicagoland suburb Elburn IL. Certified by the USDA, we pride ourselves in growing and providing organic vegetables and herbs. Not only do we offer these to the communities through plant sales & participating in local farmers’ markets, but most importantly, we utilize them in our scratch kitchen.
What is a scratch kitchen? A scratch kitchen means we create everything from scratch the day of! Our kitchen crew and chef are working hard to provide farm-fresh food to your table.
Heritage Prairie Farm offers the community the opportunity to attend Farm Dinners once every month May through November. Tickets include gratuity, food, beverages, and tax! Between Valentine’s Day Farm Dinner, held in February to our November Friendsgiving dinner, you will find a variety of different themes to celebrate the community with delicious food each month. A Farm Dinner not only provides that, but it is also a time to forget the daily worries and remind yourself what is truly important. Getting together with family & friends to just spend time together and have fun in the great outdoors. Let us provide you with an unforgettable time through service and food we truly take pride in preparing.
This year, the Farm Dinner themes we have planned for you are the following:
Pig Gig, June 19th, Thursday, 6:00 PM, 2025
Our Annual Pig Gig Farm Dinner is here! Join Heritage Prairie Farm and our Brewery Partner Off Color Brewing for a night of beers and delicious downhome Farm to Table Food, a Farm Tour at 6:30 PM, and live music from Majors Junction. (21+)
Cocktail Party, July 17th, Thursday, 6:00 PM, 2025
Heritage Prairie Farm is kicking off another night of specialty cocktails, passed appetizers, and food stations this summer! Our Cocktail Party theme will be Cowboy Disco, and we will have live music by Nicky Avalo Studios, and a Farm Tour at 6:30 PM! Specialty Cocktails are included in the ticket price. (Farm Dinners are 21+)
Hops, Homestead and Honey, August 7, Thursday, 6:00 PM, 2025
Heritage Prairie Farm is bringing you another Hops & Homestead Farm Dinner and adding a Honey twist. Join us to feast on our Game and Grains inspired Farm to Table Menu with our local brewing partner, Obscurity Brewing, which will provide the night's beer. We will also have Live Music by Gussied and a Farm Tour will be held at 6:30 PM (Farm Dinners are 21+)
Harvest Moon Farm Dinner, September 11, 6:00 PM, 2025
Join us for the Harvest Moon Farm Dinner at Heritage Prairie Farm! Featuring the Heirloom veggies of the season, guests are sure to enjoy a variety of unique coastal dishes inspired by Nantucket Coast under the Full Moon. We will have Live Music by The Frizz, and a Farm Tour will be held at 6:30 PM (Farm Dinners are 21+)
Roots & Wine Farm Dinner, October 9, 6:00 PM, 2025
Fall means Root Veggies... and Wine! Join us for our 10th Annual Roots & Wine Farm Dinner at Heritage Prairie Farm. We will serve up a bevy of fantastic Italian Coastal wines with an Amalfi Coast-inspired dinner from the farm. Live music performed by harpist Abigail Hughes and a Farm Tour will be held at 6:30 PM (Farm Dinners are 21+)
Friendsgiving Farm Dinner, November 6, 6:00 PM, 2025
The final Farm Dinner of the season at Heritage Prairie Farm is meant to celebrate friends and family. Gathering around our table, our Friendsgiving Farm Dinner wraps up the season with delicious food from the farm shared with all the joys of this season. We will have live music by Jim Perona, and a Farm Tour will be held at 6:30 PM (Farm Dinners are 21+)
As a small business, we aim to connect with the community in unique ways. Every year we aim to give back to the community by supporting different organizations, by donating Farm Dinner tickets for fundraisers for a good cause, such as local schools, non-profit organizations, and others. We also partner with local breweries to provide a good pairing of food and beer, so that no beer-drinkers will be disappointed! Coming to a Farm Dinner at Heritage Prairie Farm means immersing yourself in nature for a one-of-a-kind unique experience amongst family and friends. Please note that all Farm Dinners are 21+. All Farm Dinners include a guided tour around the farm at 6:30 PM.
