Stop by for a visit with Michelle before the hunt begins or at its conclusion. Michelle will share poems from her recently published picture book, Fresh-Picked Poetry: A Day at the Farmers’ Market. With sprightly illustrations, engaging rhymes, and factual endnotes explaining the important of supporting local farms, Fresh-Picked Poetry will leave readers eager to sample market bounty.

Michelle Schaub’s poems have appeared in the children’s magazines Ladybug and Highlights’ High Five and the anthologies And The Crowd Grows Wild: A Global Gathering of Sports Poetry and The Poetry Anthology for Celebrations. Michelle teaches at The Avery Coonley School in Downers Grove, Illinois, where she shares her love of poetry with her students. When she’s not teaching and writing, Michelle enjoys finding fresh-picked treasures at her local farmers’ market.
